Great founders are trail blazers - people who create something new; people driven by more than just a desire to get rich; people who leave the world better off than they found it. A few British names spring to mind: Richard Branson, James Dyson, Peter Jones.

But how many great founders can you name are women? Polls provide a staggering answer. 81% of 11-18-year-olds are unable to name one single female entrepreneur. We have a plan to change that. We will showcase amazing brands built by women not only to profile great female founders but also to harness the power of consumer spending, in turn creating a fairer, stronger society.

Scribble & Daub Ltd

Scribble & Daub is a luxury stationery company established in 2012 by illustrator Caroline Kent. We create tiny works of art for stylish gifting, hosting, and correspondence. Made for those with a sophisticated eye for design, each card is letterpress printed at our traditional local workshop from Caroline's original dip pen and ink illustrations, and then individually hand-painted in our studio with Andy Warhol’s favourite brightly coloured inks. In 2022 we added a beautiful collection of heirloom quality Christmas ornaments to our collections which can also be used as the chicest of gift tags for special gifts. Previously a curator of contemporary art, Caroline founded Scribble & Daub after having her first child in 2012. She has since created illustrations for leading international luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands, including British Standard, Caramel, Dior, De Beers, Jo Malone, Le Bon Marche, Lucy Irby PR, Matches Fashion, Mr & Mrs Smith, Palm Heights, Rupert Sanderson & Votary, and collaborated on card collections with two of Britain’s most famous and beautiful gardens, Charleston House & Great Dixter. Her own garden & wildflower meadow at her cottage in the East Sussex countryside was featured in the New York Times.

These pre-loved toys, often handed over with cherished memories and sentimental significance, were carelessly cast aside, sometimes relegated to becoming dog toys or, even more dishearteningly, destined for landfill.

It became evident to me how the love, the vibrant life, and the stories of these eco toys were at risk of being lost and forgotten in an instant."

When I couldn’t find stylish and sensibly priced collars and leads that let dogs do what dogs do best, I developed my own. Reg&Bob is a range of vibrant, robust and totally practical kit made exclusively for Reg&Bob - here in the UK. The collars, leads and harnesses are available in our 7 unique signature stripes - are lightweight, easy to wear and importantly machine washable. Any dog wearing Reg&Bob is smart but never over dressed and always ready for an adventure. When it came to harnesses it was time to collaborate - the Reg&Bob harness has been designed by an expert in canine gait and functional movement allowing a dog to move freely without the hindrance of fashion fabrics and poorly placed straps and clips. Alongside Reg&Bob we also stock products that match our brand values including the best muddy dog drying gear, shampoos, handmade canine correspondence and greeting cards and hand thrown dog bowls.

HAM

HAM follows the contented life of Rabbit – capturing daily adventures, sporting escapades and social outings in silhouette form on a range of thoughtfully crafted wares. Our Founder Lucy Lee has these prints on her hall wall at home – they remind her of her children!
