This sterling silver clothes peg charm has a vintage design based on the classic 1980's wooden clothes peg! With real working mechanisms you can open and close it like a real clothes pin. This trusty design has stood the test of time! Starting off as a dolly peg in 1809 it was used to hang up clothes on a washing line for drying, but it was thought that the local fishermen were actually the first to introduce the peg to clip the nets to the rigging.
The humble peg is a practical and ingenious invention which carries overtones of ancient mystery and symbolises a beacon of hope, holding everything together. The perfect accessory for gifting it will be sure to give joy and happiness to anyone who receives it.
All our charms attach with a clip-on clasp and are compatible with all other leading charm jewellery brands. Simply clip-on or slide-on to a chain, charm bracelet or charm carrier necklace.
