Happy Mothers Day - A love letter to my MUM

I am a Mum, and I love being a Mum, but now that I am one, I can truly appreciate my own Mum in a way that was never possible...

I am a Mum, and I love being a Mum, but now that I am one, I can truly appreciate my own Mum in a way that was never possible before. I would like to dedicate this post to her, and her complete and utter fabulousness.
I know all of you will also want to celebrate your Mum this Mother's Day - so we have curated a collection of gifts that we think would make your Mum, or the person who takes on this role in your life, happy and loved.
She won't read this, as she doesn't do blogs, or facebook, or twitter - But I would like to share with you, just how wonderful she is, and hope that this inspires you to write a love letter to your own Mum this Mothers Day.
I am a Mum, and I love being a Mum, but now that I am one, I can truly appreciate my own Mum in a way that was never possible before. I would like to dedicate this post to her, and her complete and utter fabulousness.
You supported my artistic endeavours, taking me to almost daily ballet, and gymnastics classes at great cost in time and money. You even supported my decision to go to ballet school, even though it meant even more financial strain (which I was never made aware of at the time, nor has ever been mentioned since!) letting me enjoy the experience with no guilt or pressure. While I was away from you, dancing my heart out at ballet school - you never forgot me. I got daily letters and parcels at a time when there was no mobile phones - so I always felt connected to my family, and felt loved and part of it, unlike lots of my friends who felt abandoned and forgotten by their families while they were away at school.
As I grew into a young woman, you wanted me to be proud of you 'not just' as a mother, and you intimidated all of us with your public service as a school governor, magistrate, and a Samaritan while working full time running the NHS (If only you could have run whole NHS...)
You worked hard, but always put me and my sister first. When our Dad worked long unsociable hours, you must have felt lonely and frustrated, but you never made us feel your frustrations. I wish I had this skill as a mother!

You had the confidence in me to let me fly off to travel Canada when I was only 17. You and Dad gave me the confidence to take on new adventures without the fear of failure - perhaps because I knew you would always be there to catch me if I fell.
This confidence, and love of the new made me fearless - and I travelled the world, worked in exciting industries and finally set up my own business. Without your support, I couldn't have achieved any of this.
As an adult you went on to Study a Masters, and your career took leaps and bounds, and now you are in demand, and incredibly successful. I am totally proud of what you have achieved, but am beyond grateful that I have you as a Mum, and as the Granny to my kids.
You are my daily support and inspiration, you are the Mum I want to become.
I love you xx
